Kingfisher 2025 Discovery

Kingfisher 2025 Discovery

Last season I had the great pleasure of driving the Kingfisher 2025 Discovery, and it was the best all around fishing boat I have ever had. The model I had was equipped with the off shore bracket, which places the main engine and kicker on a platform behind the transom. This made a world of difference. It not only added space to the interior of the boat, I also noticed a very smooth transition to plane and the handling was excellent. Space and storage is always a challenge in boats, and the 2025 had an amazing amount of both, thanks to the off shore bracket and the console forward design. It comes with a large fish box across the transom, another in-floor fish box, and a sliding drawer that I found very handy for the things I need at the back end of the boat--where I spend most of my time. There are two more sliding drawers up front and an enormous glove box. Rod storage is on both sides and easy to get to. The Pre-Flex hull and variable 18-degree rise makes for a very smooth ride that can take even rough conditions. The Kingfisher seats are large and very comfortable up front. I really liked having one large bench seat with storage beneath and the other seat was made of a large cooler, which I found extremely handy. The boat also comes with full canvas. More than anything the quality of the construction is beyond any other boat that I have driven. It is solid as a rock and stays that way. Consistent quality is something people have come to expect from Kingfisher. Everyone I meet that has had a boat from Kingfisher (Harborcraft, Jetcraft) has nothing but good things to say about them. When you are looking for a boat to fish big inland waters or off shore, pick Kingfisher, you’ll be very glad you did.
