Turtle Back Blades from Dutch Fork Custom Lures

Turtle Back Blades from Dutch Fork Custom Lures

When Keith Eshbaugh of Dutch Fork Custom Lures showed me the Turtle Back blades he was adding to his selection, I knew they would be a winner. I thought the ridges, like those on the back of a turtle, would reflect light at different angels under the water and really add to the attraction of these blades. I made a trip to Banks Lake in the early spring and gave them a try. Boy, did they work. We got most of the fish on that trip on the Blue Tiger Turtle Bank, and the next trip, too. On a really tough day on Potholes, where we only boated three fish, the same blade accounted for two of the three fish and two more strikes that I missed. The blades come in a wide range of colors and sizes, and if you haven’t looked at their web site you will be amazed at what they have available. They made their name with their “ghost” blades, and have expanded what they offer. So far it looks like I only need this Blue Tiger Turtle Back to catch walleye, but I know that just isn’t true. Fortunately Dutch Fork Custom Lures makes a huge variety of blades that I can try when this one fails me. I would encourage you to visit their web site to see all they offer to walleye and kokanee anglers. You will find their site at www.dutchforkcustomlures.com.
