This is the time of year when many anglers plan trips to fish Rufus Woods Reservoir for triploid rainbow. This should be a good winter season, after the huge release of fish earlier this year. I have been getting good reports from Anton Jones, at Darrell and Dads Family Guide Service, along with photos of limit catches of fat triploids taken near the net pens. I am also hearing of good catches from shore at the lower end of the reservoir from the folks at Grizzly’s Bait and Tackle in Bridgeport. I hope to get up there soon and try it myself. I am catching a lot of nice triploids below Chief Joseph Dam while fishing for steelhead. I want to remind everyone that is interested in the Feb. 3rd trip to Belize to get in touch with Journey Travel and Tours in Wenatchee right away. There are only 20 spots available for this trip. If you have ever wanted to try for bonefish and tarpon, the waters around Ambergris Caye are loaded with them. I have caught these and other species and have had a blast in Belize. This will be my third trip and I can’t wait.
