By Dave Graybill

I had a great trip to Buoy 10 with Austin Moser. I spent one day shooting video the whole day and then got to fish some the next. Moser put us onto a bunch of kings near the Astoria Bridge and I got one over 30 pounds. We spent the afternoons near the number one dolphin, and when the current got rolling with the tide change the coho bite was amazing. This fishery is still going strong and Moser may still have a couple of dates open if you want to try this amazing fishery. My daughter came to town for her annual visit, which always includes a trip to Banks Lake. Instead of fishing for smallmouth we fished for walleye. Her first fish of the day was a 26-incher. We got a 24-inch fish later on and got a bunch of nice eating size fish and lots of smallmouth while trolling for walleye. I still want to get out after summer-run salmon but Banks is a nice alternative while the fires settle down. I am fishing with crank baits in about 15 feet of water off the mid way boat ramp.
