The show season is winding down, but there are still a couple coming up in our region that you will want to know about. The first one is the annual Central Washington Sportsmen’s Show in Yakima. This is the 26th year that this show has been going on and it barely fits in the Sundome. In addition to the many exhibitors of all kinds of outdoor gear and destinations for fishing and hunting trips, they also have lots of things to do for the kids. The trout pond is always a big hit. This year they will have a couple of things that I want to see and one is the Dog Weight Pull. It is really fun to see. Also fun to watch is Bob Hall’s Trailer Backing Contest. A lot of my fishing buddies would love to see me enter this one. The cost is just $9 for adults, $4.50 for kids and the fee is good for all three days. It starts on Friday the 19th and runs through Sunday the 22nd. The following weekend is the Tri-Cities Great Outdoor Expo at the TRAC in Pasco. This is being held in conjunction with a big Gun Show and you pay one fee to get into both. I will be there this year giving seminars on fishing for walleye on Potholes Reservoir and rigging for steelhead fishing while using a bobber and jig.
