By Dave Graybill

I ran into Austin Moser the other day, and he is still getting limits of big kokanee on Lake Roosevelt. He is driving through Wilbur and launching at Keller. This is the fastest way to get to his favorite fishing spot, which is just down lake and around the corner. He did mention he fished a different area out of Keller last time, as the wind was making trolling difficult in the bay that he prefers. He is still trolling with side planers and downriggers and finding the fish in the top 15 feet of water. You can learn all about how he fishes for the big kokanee on Lake Roosevelt by attending the free seminar at Town Ford in East Wenatchee on Wednesday, February 17th. He will describe his tackle and techniques at the seminar that starts at 6 p.m. Shane Magnuson will also be there to talk about fishing for kokanee on Lake Chelan. Anglers have been catching kokanee on Chelan since December, and he can show you how to get them. I hope to get on Chelan myself for kokanee very soon, and will be sharing what I learn about the fishing with all of you.
