If you are a supporter of public access to prime fishing and recreational land, you will want to help the effort to acquire 14 acres on Wenatchee River near Peshastin. Local organizers are in the final push to raise $450,000 dollars to keep this land open to anglers, hikers, bikers and other uses that we all enjoy. They only need an additional $130,000 to set it aside for future generations. All the donations have come from local people or organizations and anyone who wants to see important public access for recreation is invited to help reach their goal. The deadline to have the funding to officially set aside the 14 acres is July 1st, so if you have been considering helping out, please do so right away. To make a donation please go to www.savepeshatinmillwaterfront.org. That’s save Peshastin waterfront dot org to get more details and send your contribution. This has been a very successful effort and organizers are pleased to be so close to their goal. I hope you will seriously consider helping out and send in your donation, no matter how small, so we can celebrate a bright future for outdoor enthusiasts on the Wenatchee River
