Those who want to chase up river Brights on the Columbia River may want to try their luck at White Bluffs for a while. Fishing below Priest Rapids Dam has been very slow lately, and Grant County PUD is planning to do some maintenance work at the Power Line Hole that will interrupt passage to the river above here at times over the next week. Eric Granstrom reported on the slow fishing we had there and mentions the interruption of boating in his reports on my Facebook page and I have posted the news release from Grant County PUD on page as well. I will be looking for other fishing opportunities in the mean time, and may just make a trip or two up to Fish Lake. When the weather is clear and calm, which it often is this time of year, the trout fishing is excellent. It is fun to troll flies or other gear when the fall foliage is in bloom. The scenery is just a side benefit to fishing here this time of year. Don’t forget about the celebration of National Hunting and Fishing Day at the Gun Club in East Wenatchee coming up on Saturday!
