By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. It's been a rough year for me in the world of fishing. Between boat troubles and my work load, I haven't been fishing nearly as much as I'd like. So last weekend, I made it my goal to get up to Chelan and fish for kokanee. I'd been seeing good reports still coming in on successful anglers and kokanee are some of my favorite fish to eat, so I had to make a go of it. I finally got my bowmount trolling motor working and swapped out my kicker motor for another one, so I was good to go for trolling. I'd planned to go Saturday, but my work schedule changed so I couldn't go until Sunday. But, being eager to get up there, I finished up work Saturday and hooked the boat up to head up, launch and sleep on the boat on anchor. However I noticed hooking up the trailer my 10-ply tires were thread-bare. A quick stop at Schwabs and I was on my way. Camping on the boat overnight was incredible. I fell asleep watching falling stars and awoke at 4:30 to go fishing. More on the fishing Thursday. Until next time, Good Fishing!
