By Dave Graybill

I got an update on the perch fishing at Moses Lake. Apparently the bite down there is either really good or really bad. My friend and his buddy that took home over 30 perch a week ago got skunked on their last trip. Who knows why the perch are there one day and gone the next. I really want to get down there and try for some myself. I haven’t had a good meal of perch for a while. Also, on my way back from fishing on Lake Roosevelt last Saturday I noticed a number of vehicles parked on the dike at the Coulee Marina. This is a popular place to fish for rainbow, so I turned around and went back to check and see how they were doing. Unfortunately several anglers had just arrived and hadn’t even got their gear out and I didn’t see any stringers in the water near the other fishermen there. I know that trout are caught from the dike this time of year and there many rainbow over 20 inches taken. I will keep an eye on this and if I hear of good fishing here I will be sure to let you know.
