The sport and boat shows are coming in January, so better mark your calendars for these events. The one that kicks off our sport show season is the Washington Sportsmen’s Show and Sport Fishing Boat Show in Puyallup. This is the biggest one in the state and is held at the fair grounds in Puyallup. It fills three exhibit halls and several outbuildings. The doors open for this show on Wednesday, January 23rd at noon. It will run through the weekend and ends on Sunday the 27th. There are all kinds of products represented here and hunting and fishing lodges and camps from all over the world show up for this one. A big hit are the seminars, and there are 150 hours of them during the show. I always go to this one for a day or two. This year I am going to spend time in the booth with the folks from Dutch Fork Custom Lures. You have read many of my reports on how great their products are for walleye fishing in our region. When you get to the show get a program and stop by and visit. To get the opening and closing times and ticket prices you can view their web site at “the sport shows.com.”
