By Dave Graybill

I sincerely hope that you all had a great Christmas with family and friends. Traveling can be a concern at this time of year and I hope everyone made it home safe and sound. Those of you that ran into me on the water or at the launches the past two seasons, you saw me driving a Smoker Craft Phantom 202, which is the welded model with the offshore bracket. This one of the most popular models of Smoker Craft in Eastern Washington. These bracketed boats have lots of space and this particular boat is very rare. The company that made them for Smoker Craft went out of business, so they haven’t been available to two years. The one I was driving has a lot of extras, too. It has the Mercury Pro XS 115 main engine and the 9.9 kicker with electric start and power tilt. There are two Scotty electric downriggers and the boat and a Lowrance depth sounder. The feature I really liked is the Minn Kota Ultera bow mount electric motor. These bow mounts self-deploy and are the most advanced electric motors on the market. This is boat is sitting on the lot at Bob Feil Boats and Motors, waiting for a new owner. If you are looking for a fishing boat, I would check this one out.
