I am really looking forward to this coming weekend. The Wenatchee Valley Sportsmens Show starts on Friday, and it should be the best ever. I have attended many of these kinds of shows from Spokane to Seattle, and there are a lot of reasons to be there. Schuyler Productions, who put on the shows in Tri-Cities, Yakima and Wenatchee make special efforts to be sure that there are things of interest for the whole family, and especially the kids. The Lunker Lake Trout Pond is just one example. There are other things that youngsters will enjoy at the show. I know many people go to see if there are bargains available for fishing tackle and equipment, and there areā€”like special pricing on boats. This is also an opportunity to talk to guide services, see what kinds of fishing they offer and book a trip. Many people do this at the shows and it is a good time to do it, when trips are available. Sometimes guides are already sold out when a particular fishery gets going. The other big draw is the seminars. These are excellent opportunities to learn from the experts and help you become more successful in the field. Get to as many of these as possible, and take notes, they are extremely helpful.
