By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. While on vacation this week, I had the chance to enjoy the amazing, private fireworks display along what they call South Beach on the Washington Coast. Beginning just before dark and lasting through most of the night, much more wealthier people than I spend thousands of dollars on fireworks and set them off sporadically throughout the evening. As far as you can see up the beach and down the beach, its a pyrotechnical extravaganza! Best of all, you don't have to pay a dime for any of it. Marion and I just sat in our launch chairs by a fire in our fire pit, watching one rocket red glare after another. What's also great about being around fireworks on the beach next to the ocean is that you don't have to worry about forest fires. I just kind of wished Eastern Washington would go to a policy of fireworks being OK, only for New Years when there's most likely snow on the ground! Besides watching other people shoot of their money, I also took the time to do some surf fishing. I was able to catch some really nice sea perch. Until next time, Good Fishing!
