By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. As the week wound down, Marion and I still didn't have any concrete plans for the three-day, Memorial weekend. We had our choices of places to go, but were closely watching the forecast to see which one to pick. Finally on Thursday, Marion said, "let's go tent-camp out of the boat somewhere!" This was NOT one of our options, but I jumped at the chance. I'd always wanted to do this on Lake Roosevelt, but never done it before. So, thanks to social media, I reached out to Eric Braaten since I knew he's done this a lot and lives in that neighborhood. Sure enough, he came through with a great suggestion. We had some hydroseeding done on the back yard Friday, so I wanted to be sure the irrigation was working before we headed out. Finally, late in the morning Saturday, we were all loaded up and heading out through Quincy, Ephrata and up highway 17 to US 2 towards Seven Bays Marina. It's about 180-mile trip from my house and by Wilbur, Marion was asking if we were ever going to get there. We did. More on the adventure Thursday. Until next time, Good Fishing!
