I got to find out if those reports of terrific walleye fishing on Moses Lake were true. On Monday I joined Austin Moser and the Dunagan crew to give it a try. We put in at Blue Heron Park and ran up to the north end. Austin had good luck here on his last few trips. I ran a plug out on a side planer and I had just put the rod in the holder when the planer went under! It turned out to be a dandy 20-inch walleye. Austin thought we got off to a slow start. The water was flat calm when we started and whenever we got even a slight breeze the bite would come on. It was really fun watching the side planers jerk backwards in the water or go completely out of site when a nice walleye grabbed the plug. There was a good crowd of boats working the north end of Moses Lake when we were there. The word is definitely out that the walleye bite is on here. I suggest you grab some crank baits and some side planers and come join the fun.
