By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Well, I'd hoped to have a fresh crabbing report for you on this report, after spending the weekend in Western Washington with my folks. But again, my equipment and lack of focus let me down. First, my mind is on 392 things it seems all at once these days and I'm forgetting everything. I keep losing my keys. I've lost my wallet. I feel at times like I've lost my mind too. Such was the case Saturday as I found myself half-way to the boat ramp, which is a considerable distance from my parent's house, without crab bait or the plug for the boat. Then on Sunday, the solenoid for the lower unit motor to lift it up and down went out, just as we backed down the boat ramp to launch. Finally, hunkered down in the bilge trying to figure a way to fix it in a driving wind and rain storm, I gave up. Marion tells me everything happens for a reason. Maybe the crab gods were trying to keep me off the water this weekend because real danger lurked. I don't know. All I know is it's frustrating. Hope yours was better than mine. Until next time, Good Fishing!
