By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. After a record February for snow, we're starting March with record low temperatures. NOT the way we'd like to usher in spring. By the way, don't forget to set your clocks ahead an hour Saturday night when you go to bed. The Quincy lakes are open. Of course, you'd have to drill through the ice to get at the fish. Which, I hear some folks are doing and having good success getting a limit of nice rainbow. In addition, as those of you on Facebook can see, my buddy Dave found quite a few perch and one heck of a walleye through the ice last weekend at an undisclosed location in the Quincy area. While I'm happy for Dave and his catch, I personally hope he only has another week on the ice before it's too thin to go out on. Because, I'm sure all of us are ready for more spring-like weather. By the way, Marion and I picked up the new boat Sunday. That's probably also why I'm itching to get out on the water. I am so lucky! It is by far the nicest boat I've ever owned. Until next time, Good Fishing!
