By Eric Granstrom

For FishiingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Spring time in North Central Washington is simply breathtaking. If I'm a member of the Chamber of Commerce for any of the towns in our region, THIS would be the time of year I'd try to recruit prospective business owners or those to move to our region. The hills are lush green. The Arrowleaf Balsomroots have bloomed in brilliant yellow to speckle our hillsides. And if you don't like the weather, just wait 15-minutes and it will be completely different. With rain in the forecast this week and weekend, I'm hoping it won't deter our trip with the Lund to Conconully. Marion and I will be there for the weekend camping, fishing, and celebrating a milestone birthday for my buddy Jimmy. I think I'm most excited about the fishing, however. I've heard of some slow days, especially opening weekend. But I've also heard of some big Kokanee being caught. I've only fished the reservoir a few times for rainbow from a rowboat, but I've heard trolling near the dam on the southern end can produce nice fish. I'm more familiar with Conconully Lake, launching at the State Park. Hopefully I'll have a good report for you next week. Until next time, Good Fishing!
