By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Marion wanted to go back and see if we could repeat our success at Deep Lake. And, as you know, happy wife, happy life. So after participating in the Walk To End Alzheimer's, we loaded up the camper and boat and head for the two hour trip to the Sun Lake Dry Falls State Park. We didn't arrive until 3pm and I was worried about the time of day and whether we'd actually find the fish again. I shouldn't have been concerned. The parking area adjacent to the launch was empty except for some swimmers, hikers and a few kayakers. The basalt canyon walls along the lake are painted in numbers zero through seven. We'd found the fish between 5 and 7 the week before so that's where we tried first. We got a couple but nothing hot, so I moved up lake and found the schools between 3 and 4. Within 3 hours we were limited out. After camping out for the night along Blue Lake, we were at it again Sunday at 7 and had two more limits by 10. This fishery closes September 30th to the clock is ticking. Until next time, Good Fishing!
