By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. After reading several of Dave's reports about the hot fishing at Rufus Woods Reservoir for big, fat triploids, I had to try it myself. So Christmas morning, with the blessing of my wife, I loaded up and headed north. Snow was forecast for later in the day, so I knew my time on the water would be limited. I had a new ball on my truck, which apparently didn't make a good enough ground for my trailer lights, so I had to wait for daylight to see what was going on. Finally, at 8 o'clock in the morning, I was on my way. 105-miles later, I was lost. Thankfully, Dave answered the phone and directed me to the Seton's Grove launch. For those who haven't been there before like me, you drive through Grand Coulee and take SR-155 northeast along the river. There's a sign about 6-miles from town that says Seton's Grove with a boat launch indicator on it. You turn off SR-155 and then onto Spirit Ridge Road. Warning, the launch is very shallow and actually requires two people to launch safely. I was alone and then ran into more problems. More on Thursday. Until next time, Good Fishing!
