By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Like you, I try to find the place with the cheapest gas pricing. Usually, that lands me at the pumps at Costco. Even there, prices have shot up 40-cents in the last week-and-a-half. I was fueling up the truck and boat yesterday, preparing for a weekend outing, and struck up a conversation with the fuel attendant. Costco, like many gas stations these days, have someone out wiping things down with disinfectant after each patron's fuel up. He sized up the truck and boat and asked if I had big plans for the Memorial weekend. I said we were still figuring it out and that with camping still closed because of the COVID, it was making our decision more difficult. He said, "well, I can tell you for sure that there's a ton of people taking their campers and boats out this weekend. Then it dawned on me. If there was ANYONE with his finger on the pulse of outdoor recreation, it would be the guy at the fuel pumps watching one RV after another come through! I think we'll stick to a couple day trips. One to Billy Clapp for sure. Until next time, Good Fishing!
