By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. To be honest, I'd never heard of the term "bucket list" until the Movie "The Bucket List" with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman came out. Basically, it's doing the things you've always wanted to do before you kick the bucket. Dad and I have had several. One of which gets underway tomorrow. We were lucky enough to be two of 30 tags drawn for the late archery quality deer hunt in the Entiat unit. Since the reshuffle of our game laws began in the 90's with the continued fracturing of our GMU's into smaller special hunts, Dad and I spied the Entiat. I moved to the Wenatchee Valley in 1989 and had already heard of big deer in the Entiat drainage. I've made several snow-drives up the valley in December and was lucky enough to see some of the migratory herds as they exited the Cascade foothills. When we found out we were drawn, we both said a prayer to the weather gods for snow. Low and behold, a mantle of white coats the hills we'll be hunting. Now it's not enough to start the migration, but it's should be fun. Until next time, Good Hunting!
