For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Happy Thanksgiving! I'm borrowing a little of today's report from something I read a week ago from Mike Rowe. He spoke of safety and guarantees. Of course, we've all learned that there are no guarantees in life. None of us are guaranteed anything past right now, so live life while you have it. And safety. This Thanksgiving for many will not be the same. Our government, in an effort to "protect us", has mandated that we limit our celebrations today to only those who live in our household or those who've been quarantined for 14-days. In his dissertation, Mike Rowe talked about boarding a plane. He commented on how the pilot usually comes on and says something to the effect that "your safety is his first priority." But how can that be? He can't guarantee he'll get us from one place to another safely. Same as the pilgrims boarding that ship over 400-years ago. Do you think their captain assured them that their safety was his first priority? Nearly half the people on board that ship destined for the new world died en route! Be safe. Be smart. Enjoy life!
