By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com I'm Eric Granstrom. The weather was spectacular last Sunday, so Marion and I spent the day rummaging around the shop, cleaning and envisioning the camping and boating season to come. After tweaking some things with the camper, we sat back to take a break and Marion popped up with, "so when are we going camping?" I suggested a possible trip this weekend and she was all over that. This also meant prepping the boat, which had been tucked away hiding from winter for the past four months. When I got home from work yesterday, I pulled it out of the shop, hooked up the earmuffs to the hose and prayed for it to start. The main motor turned over and purred on the first crank. The trolling motor took a little more coaxing, but ran on the third crank. I was sure to put Stabil in the tank when I put the boat away, but there's always that nervous anxiety in the back of my mind when it comes to anything boat or engine. I'm heading fishing tomorrow with a buddy, which will determine our destination for camping and fishing Saturday. Let the season begin! Until next time, Good Fishing!
