Rock Island Kids
Fishing Day, Saturday, April 19th
For the ninth year, the
City of Rock Island
has invited families to come down the Juvenile (Pit) Pond to enjoy the
fishing. Fishing is reserved for children age 15 or less. The
Department of Fish and Wildlife stocks the pond just prior to the event, so
there will be plenty of rainbow to catch.
There will be hot dogs and snacks, while they last, thanks to Ray Pearson,
the City of Rock Island, Columbia
River Media Group and area sponsors. The Wenatchee
Sportsmen’s Association will be on hand to help young anglers with
their tackle. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. till noon.
