What you are looking at here is how Shane Magnuson rigged his plugs with a Hevi-Beads egg-colored bead when we fished for steelhead recently. This set up accounted for four of the five fish we hooked that day.

Here you will find current information on fishing in Central Washington State.

I grew up in Central Washington and began writing about the outdoors in the mid 70s. I began broadcasting report on outdoor recreation on KOZI Radio in Lake Chelan in 1991. My reports are now carried on several radio stations and many newspapers in Washington. The reports give what’s happening and how-to information on fishing for bass, perch, walleye, trout, kokanee, salmon, steelhead and other species.

Minn Kota Copilot A Must Have!

My brother Rick recently rigged a boat with a Minn Kota electric motor, with the Auto Pilot feature. This feature allows an angler to point the electric in the direction he wishes to travel and it automatically keeps the boat headed in that direction. read more...
