Fish Lake Thin Ice
If you look close you will see that there is only about three inches of ice in this hole drilled on Fish Lake, near Lake Wenatchee, recently. We need some more really cold weather before it is safe.
Wells Shane and Kyle
Shane Magnuson (l) and Kyle Kelley celebrate the catch of a hatchery steelhead taken below Wells Dam. We were back trolling shrimp along the bar here. We lost another one right a the boat a little earlier.
Pateros Netting Wild fish
Brian Anatatmula is netting a steelhead being played by Tom Merrill while Rollie Schmitten looks on. Rollie got a fish on our next pass and then Tom got his second for the day. All were wild and released, but what fun!
Parteros Raven Jig
This is one of the Kroe Jigs that really turned our day around while fishing for the steelhead at the Rocks near Pateros recently. I was getting blanked until I put these on everyone's rod. We got three nice fish soon after!
B-Port Gary Feil
Gary Feil, of Bob Feil Boats and Motors, had never caught a steelhead, but he hooked four on his first trip with me and Shane Magnuson. This one was taken near Bridgeport o a bobber and jig.
Pateros Rollie Keeper
Rollie Schmitten had a good day fishing for steelhead on the upper Columbia. He got one big fish below Wells Dam on a 3.5 Mag Lip Flatfish, and then got two more on a bobber and jig near Pateros.
