The sunrise on the Brewster Pool was dramatic, and also showed how busy it can be. Boats are trolling everywhere and catching sockeye, too!

They are few and far between in late summer but the kokanee are big (17 inches) at Alta Lake.

The action is slow in late July for rainbow at Alta Lake, but the rainbow are fat and healthy.

I have had good success with a Kokabow Tackle pink spinner rig for sockeye below Wells and at the Brewster Pool.

Sockeye fishing is good below Wells Dam. Just go to the big eddy on the far side of the river and join the parade!
