I had another great opening day of salmon season fishing with Shane Magnuson, Upper Columbia Guide Services below Wanapum Dam. This summer run weighed just under 20 pounds.

Jerry Day caught the big fish of the day on Lake Chelan. This mackinaw stretched the tape to 31 inches and put up a great fight.

Tom Vershuren has fish with me before, but not on Lake Chelan. He really enjoyed catching this lake trout and is ready to do it again.

Howie Hunter was very impressed with the lake trout fishing on Lake Chelan. He caught the first fish on our outing, and found these fish a blast to catch.

I had heard that the bass bite at Evergreen Reservoir was good so I decided to give it a try recently. Yup, the largemouth were on the bite!

I had quite a time getting this springer to the boat, with the strong current in the Icicle River. This one hit a whole herring rigged by Shane.
