There are a couple of annual banquets coming up for local fishing and hunting clubs in our area, and I wanted to share the information with you. These annual events help raise the bulk of the funds that these groups use to enhance fish and wildlife in Central Washington. The banquets are not only a good time, attending them goes a long ways in helping out our fish and game. First up is the banquet for the Wenatchee Valley Fly Fishers. It will be held on Saturday, January 23rd at the Wenatchee Golf and Country Club. The cost is $30.00 per person and it kicks off at 6 p.m. Next up is the one for the Wenatchee Sportsmen’s Association. The event takes place on February 20th, and I am mentioning it this early because it always sells out. This is a true game feed with all kinds of wild meats prepared by expert chefs. It will be held in the banquet facilities at Apple Annie’s in Cashmere, with the doors opening at 5:30. Tickets are on sale now at Hooked on Toys, One Shot Firearms and High Mountain Hunting Supply.
