The annual Fishing Kids event at the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery in Leavenworth is coming up on June 6th this year, so it’s time to get your registration in to Hooked on Toys in Wenatchee. This is a particularly popular fishing day for families, as each child, age five to fourteen that pays a five dollar fee, will receive a free rod and reel combo to take home, a free t-shirt and a chance to catch two fish in the hatchery raceway. I have been involved in kids fishing events for over ten years now, and these really get families super-charged on the activity of fishing. Families that are interested in participating can learn more about the event and get a registration form by logging onto FishingMagician dot com and clicking on Events for Kids on the Home Page. Look for the Leavenworth Fishing Kids listing and you will find an address that opens the Cast for Kids page. Search for the Washington events, view Leavenworth on the list and you at the bottom of the page you can open a registration form.
