By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Driving to work Monday morning, I knew my day ahead would be short and the weather was spectacular. Soon as I got to the office, I texted Marion and told her I'd be home by Noon, let's grab the boat and head for Chelan. Her response was, "really?!" Soon we were our way out of town with the bow of the Ford pointed towards Mill Bay. I knew our time on the water would be limited and starting in the afternoon wasn't the optimum for catching fish, but I didn't care. It was our inaugural trip for 2020. The water was glass-like as we left the dock at Mill Bay. I had Marion drive as I dug our kokanee rods out of the side pocket and assembled an array of killer gear. I grabbed the wheel once hooks were covered in corn and we ran up lake. I slowed near the Yacht Club looking for signs on the fish finder, but a blank screen propelled me further up lake. I saw a couple boats fishing below Mitchell Creek and saw a blip on the screen so we began fishing. More on our catch Thursday. Until next time, Good Fishing!
