Rocky Ford Brian Anantatmaula
Fishing was really tough on Rocky Ford Creek on my last trip, but my fishing partner, Brian Anantatmula hooked quite a few fish and landed this monster. I estimated the fish between 25 and 27 inches, which was much to large for my capture net.
Rufus Woods Dean Peer Anton Bob Seabeck
Dean Peer (left) Anton Jones and Bob Seabeck (right) show off a stringer of triploid rainbow taken near the lower net pens on Rufus Woods Reservoir. Andy Byrd skippered the boat and put Peer into the big fish, which weighed 9 pounds.
Moses Lake 13-Inch Perch
Just to show you that getting jumbo perch is no accident, two anglers compare two fish taken from different holes at Moses Lake. Ice is good, fishing is great!
Moses Lake Jumbos
When you see anglers on the ice at Moses Lake you know something's being caught. Here are some examples; two jumbo perch. Good numbers of walleye are being taken, too.
Fish Lake Ice Mixed Bag
Here is a mixed bag of fish taken through the ice at Fish Lake. It included suckers, a pea chub, some perch and a triploid rainbow that must have weighed 4 pounds!
Fish Lake Jan. 2nd Ice Fishing
A group of anglers is settled in for a day of ice fishing at Fish Lake, near Lake Wenatchee. It was a perfect day, with about five inches of good ice, lots of sun and no wind.
Coulee City Marina Late Dec. Perch
Ice fishing for perch is going great guns at the Coulee City Marina. You'll catch a lot of smaller fish, but there are enough 9- and 10-inchers to make it worth while. I checked on Winchester Wasteway, too, and found no perch fishers there.
CDA Fins and Feathers
On a recent trip to Idaho I checked in with the folks at Fins and Feathers in Coeur d' Alene. I am arranging a pike fishing trip in the spring and a Chinook fishing trip in the summer. Fins and Feathers is the clearing house for info and tackle for the area.
Bob Boats Me and Dan
I am congratulating Dan Feil (right) of Bob Feil Boats and Motors in East Wenatchee on the super job they did rigging the new Jetcraft Boat that I will be using in the coming year. First it will be making an appearance at the big Seattle Boat Show in January, and then I'll be taking out on our area waters. (FishingMagician.com, Dave Graybill photo)
