Ever wanted to go trout fishing where there no size or bag limits? Well, anglers can go just that on several lakes in our region. The lakes are scheduled for rehabilitation, due to infestations of unwanted species that compete with the trout populations. In Grant County there is a pretty good list, which includes Harris, Dune, Sedge and Tern lakes. Also under the no limit rule are Beda and Brookies lakes. On Beda and Brookies the selective gear rules have been suspended and fishing will also be allowed from a floating device equipped with a motor. Fishing with no size or catch limit will be allowed through September 13th. In Okanogan County Buck Lake, which is up the Methow Valley has no size or catch limit, and anglers will be able to fish this lake through October 25th. Anglers who like to fish the streams in our region may want to give the Yakima River a shot. The flows on the river are so low now that wading is possible just about anywhere on the stream, and dry fly fishing is very good. The Yakima is known to produce some of the largest trout for any of the rivers in our area.
