Boy am I excited. I have been getting some great reports on walleye fishing on Moses Lake and I am going! I have usually been on Moses a couple of times by now, but since I have been on the road so much this is my first opportunity. I plan to hit the flat just above Connelly Park and then work my way up lake. The flat, which is just a quarter mile from the launch rarely fails to produce fish for me. I plan to start out with spinners and worm harnesses. These pulled on a bottom walker rig has been a winner for me for years on Moses Lake. I hear that the fish are not only plentiful on Moses but big this year and it has me pumped. I will also make some passes off the “reedy” just at the bend on the way up lake and then concentrate on the shoreline where the houses are and the water is only six to nine feet deep. There is a slot along there that has produced some big fish for me in the past. I am tempted to throw in the bass gear, too, as the smallmouth fishing has been super this spring, but I think I will just concentrate on the walleye this trip.
