By Dave Graybill

Every year at this time I attend Fish Camp, which is on the Columbia River near The Dalles, Oregon. Eric Granstrom and I joined other outdoor writers and broadcasters for four days of fishing and meeting makers of outdoor products and learning what they have to offer. Typically we have the opportunity to fish for steelhead, walleye, bass, sturgeon and salmon. This year, due to the all-time record return of fall salmon, most everyone went salmon fishing every day. The fishing was fantastic, too. We drifted salmon roe on the Columbia below where the Deschutes River enters the river, and pretty much limited on kings weighing from 10 to 15 pounds, with a few larger fish taken as well. Every afternoon or evening the product people would show off what they had, and I will be sharing these products and what I learned about them on my web site’s Product Review Page and in the new “How To and What’s New” TV Show. So keep an eye out for new listings and for the introduction of the new show. We also got a great show on fishing for fall kings in this area that will be posted soon on the current Fishing TV Show.
