This coming weekend is Fathers Day, and I hope you have planned to celebrate this event with some fishing fun. When I was fishing with my wife on Lake Chelan for kokanee last week I told her that my brother Rick and I had spent many Fathers Days off Lakeside Park. We also spent Fathers Day on Moses Lake fishing for walleye and Rufus Woods Reservoir fishing for triploid rainbow. All too often we arrived late to the family gathering. We were always forgiven for being tardy. These were special days and we never got enough time to fish together with Dad. He is gone now and Fathers Day is a reminder of what a special person he was and how much I miss him. I have so many great memories of spending time with my father out on the water, and I hope you can do the same. Whether it is out on the water or fishing from shore the time spent together fishing with family is something to be cherished. It is never too late to start a tradition of spending Fathers Day fishing. I can tell you the memories will last a lifetime.
