I wanted to let everyone know that this weekend is a Free Fishing Weekend, and you can go fishing in Washington State without a license. Also, you can visit the State Parks without paying the Discover Pass fees. There is a free Kids Fishing Day at Beehive Reservoir in the Wenatchee Heights on Sunday from 10 till 2. I strongly encourage you to take advantage of these “free days” and get out and give fishing a try! If you are looking for good places to go in your area there are some very good guides available. You can log onto “Tour Grant County” and view or download a guide that I wrote and was published by this tourism association. You can also find the guide I did for Okanogan County by going to the Okanogan Country web site. There is a similar guide I did for Chelan and Douglas counties available at the Chamber office in Wenatchee. Most of these are also available at Hooked on Toys in Wenatchee. There is good bank access available on many of the lakes in our region. Jameson Lake is a great one, and Park and Blue lakes near Soap Lake are a couple of others.
