If you have ever wanted to try sockeye salmon fishing on the upper Columbia River, this would be the year to do it. Fishing right now is very good below Wanapum Dam, above Rocky Reach Dam and below Wells Dam. It will get even better. Soon they will be stacked up in the Brewster Pool. I just recently posted a video on my How To TV Page that will give you some excellent information on how to fish for sockeye. It features three area guides, Shane Magnuson, Austin Moser, and Jerrod Gibbons, and they all talk about their techniques for catching sockeye. The videos were taken at three different locations on the Columbia River. You will be able to figure out what tackle to use and other important facts by watching this show. Just to go my web site at FishingMagician.com, and click on How To TV on the Home Page. This will take you to the page that lists the available shows. Then just click and watch. Also, my brother Rick has just completed a booklet on sockeye fishing. This is an in depth description of all you need to know to fish for sockeye. It is available at Hooked on Toys in Wenatchee.
