The reports I am getting on the springer fishing on the Icicle and Wenatchee rivers are all outstanding. I have heard from Jerrod Gibbons, Shane Magnuson and Austin Moser and they are all limiting early and often for their clients. One of the most ecstatic anglers I have talked to was Graham Grant, who is an enforcement officer for the WDFW. He got his limit of spring salmon in the morning, and then won a golf tournament the same day! Everyone floating the upper river is having a blast, and there are spring salmon being taken from the shore at certain spots on the Icicle. Fishing on the lower river isn’t producing at all. The fish have all moved up stream. Have you seen the counts for summer-run salmon and sockeye? The fish are starting to come over Bonneville and we’ll be fishing for them on the upper Columbia very soon. To get tuned up for these fisheries, better attend the free seminar at Town Ford next Wednesday that starts at 6 p.m. There will be presentations on fishing for both summer-run salmon and sockeye that evening. I hope you can make it.
