By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. One of the things in my life I appreciate the most is my Dad instilling in me a sense of recognition. Since I can remember, he told me to recognize the beauty in nature. I vividly recall riding my bike to school one chilly, fall morning, and noticing how a fresh coat of snow in the Cascades had been turned pink by the glint of the rising sun. Another time in high school, Dad woke up the entire family and rousted us into his old pickup truck to take us down to the county road to show us how all the leaves had fallen off the trees and created a carpet on top of the blacktop in the glow of our headlights. It's so easy to put our heads down and plow through each day and forget to pay attention to the little things. Because it's all those little things that make up the big thing. Now, I make it a conscience effort while I'm out hunting or fishing to take in the gorgeous scenery around me. Art can present itself in mysterious ways. Such as the shadowy photo on our Facebook page today. Until next time, Good Fishing!
