Spring is coming on like gangbusters, with almost summer-like temperatures throughout the region. The forecasts for the immediate future is for little or no wind, too. That’s going to make a lot of anglers happy. People are anxious to get out on the water and I wanted to give folks an update on some of the facilities that boaters use. On Moses Lake, Connelly Park opened earlier this week. Many people use the launch here. Pay attention to the hours that the park is open. The boat ramp at Cascade Park on Moses Lake will be closed on the 17th and 18th for the boat races. Although the water is coming up on Moses Lake it still isn’t full. The docks at Blue Heron Park won’t go in until the lake is full, which should be in a couple of weeks. Folks driving by Rocky Reach Dam have noticed that the trash barrier has been moved way upriver, eliminating a popular path for trollers during salmon season. Rachel Hansen at the Chelan County PUD told me that the old anchor chain broke and is being replaced right now. It will be back to its original location very soon.
