By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com I'm Eric Granstrom. Hopefully all this snow doesn't alter your plans too much today. I came home yesterday ahead of the storm and brushed about a foot of snow off my Dad's travel trailer that's here at our place. Looks like I'll have to do that again today, but it's a reminder that if your boat is outside and has a soft top, you'd better remove the snow before it collapses the frame. Yesterday was my Dad's 79th birthday. For those on Facebook you'll see one of my favorite pictures of my old man. It was taken while he, Mom and I were fishing Lake McMurray in southern Skagit County. It shows my Dad with a fishing rod in one hand and a beer in the other, telling yet another story. That's how I'll forever remember my Dad. Always with a story. Mom out-fished us yet again on this trip. I can still hear her exclaiming "Oh! Oh! Oh!" from the back of the boat as yet another fish tugged on her line. Happy Birthday Dad. I'm also scheduled for some ice fishing this Saturday so I'll hopefully have a report Tuesday. Until next time, Good Fishing!
