Here’s one of the best mark your calendar items I ever pass on. The 18th annual Wenatchee River Salmon Festival is coming up September 20th and 21st, and there is no better event for families to enjoy than his one. Salmon Fest is devoted to fun-fill “edu-tainment”, which means that everyone has a great time and learns important things about our outdoors while they’re at it. Much of the educational presentations are focused on the life cycles of salmon and the importance of this resource, but there is a wide variety of other topics covered. Reptile Man, who will appear on the stage, again this year, is a great example of an entertaining yet educational presentation. Back again this year is the addition of the Outdoor Recreation Exhibits and Demonstrations. Over a dozen businesses and agencies dedicated to the safe enjoyment of the outdoors will be represented. Growing every year in popularity is the Salmon Run, which even has class for “Small Fry”. To learn more about how to get in on the fun of this run contact Claudia at Mt. Stuart Physical Therapy at 509-548-3133. I haven’t missed a Salmon Fest in years, and I am sure your family would enjoy it, too.
