The fishing events for kids are not over yet! Coming up on June 12th, at Moses Lake is another Kids Fish-In Day. Get the details by clicking Events for Kids on my web site. June 12th and 13th is also National Free Fishing Weekend, and no one has to have a fishing license to fish that weekend. It is also not necessary to have the Salmon and Steelhead Endorsement Stamp to fish that particular weekend, while on the Columbia River and its tributaries. This is a great opportunity for families to get out and try the sport of fishing, and for those parents that took the kids to the Fish-In days, it’s time to get your own rod and reel and see why the kids enjoy fishing so much. On Saturday, June 19th the Icicle Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited is holding their annual derby at Fish Lake. They club will be preparing a great breakfast and there will be a ton of prizes handed out. Again, you can get all the details in the Events for Kids Page on my web site. I hope to have a lot of good fishing experiences to share to give folks an idea about where to go for a great day of fishing.
