You may remember that I traveled to Loreto, Mexico in May. I was there looking for a good guide service and resort for a trip to fish the Sea of Cortez. I have always wanted to fish this sea and I found some great people and a resort to make it happen. I knew I was in the right place when I saw that the Oasis Resort had a rod rack in my room. The people at Sea and Land are terrific. They even had me sample some fresh pargo tacos while I visited with them. The plan is that they will pick us up in their pangas right on the beach of the resort each morning. The fishing for yellow tail tuna, roosterfish, snapper and grouper is very good here. I saw some big roosterfish taken by handline from the marina breakwater while I was there. The people are friendly, the town is relaxed and the airport is brand new. If you would like to join me on this trip, give the folks at Journey Travel and Tours a call at 877-335-1153. I have room for just ten people on this trip, so I would do it right away.
