Fans of fishing for triploid rainbow trout will be pleased to know that the Colville Tribe recently released 10,000 fish into Rufus Woods Reservoir last week. The fish averaged 1.2 pounds. All trout are adipose fin clipped. Anglers are encouraged to share their catch information with Colville fish checkers at the ramps or on the shore. Keep an eye for the details on the annual Quincy Trout Derby held on Burke Lake this year. It is planned for Saturday, March 5th, if the ice is off the lake.
