Anglers are enjoying very good success in the recently opened sturgeon fishing season on the upper Columbia River. Limit numbers of sturgeon are being taken from both boats and from shore below Rock Island Dam. This is the first time in over 20 years that anglers have been able to keep sturgeon this region and they are taking advantage of it. Summer run salmon fishing is also going great guns.
