For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Recently, I got a message from Mike who asked about good trout fishing in Lake Roosevelt and Banks Lake this time of year from the shoreline. I dug into my memory bank and came up with some pretty good spots. First, at Lake Roosevelt, there's good beach fishing on the north beach just up from Grand Coulee Dam. Some refer to this as Medicare Beach. Also, I know there is some pretty good bank access and good fishing to be had near Keller Ferry. As far as Banks Lake is concerned, I suggested Mike try the spot along Highway 155 up lake from the Northrup Launch. I've also seen some folks fishing trout along the far east end of Banks Lake near Coulee Playland along the the levee at North Dam Park. Of course, if you really want a shot at some big trout from the beach with just a two fish limit, Rufus Woods Reservoir is a good option too. There's great bank access and plenty of spots for a campfire at the park just east of Chief Joseph Dam. I've also had success at Brandt's Landing. Give it a try! Until next time, Good Fishing!
